Read about the Carolina Dance Partners Ballroom Class – Subject Foxtrot, Tango and Hustle

This morning, at the JB Floyd Community Center in North Myrtle Beach, the Carolina Dance Partners Ballroom Class studied the Subjects Foxtrot, Tango and Hustle.   The class started with the 4 count Hustle as a warm up concentrating on the ladies turns, from there we did a half hour on the Foxtrot primarily the Forward and Backward Basic moving down line of dance.  The focus was on how to lead and follow.  Next, we learned a new pattern for this class – the Tango Left Promenade.  We took the Tango basic that we worked on last week, progressing that down line of dance and added the promenade as a part of the sequence.  That went well, I was very happy how quickly the Tango came together since it was new material for this group.  We will stay with this subject for another session.  I am pleased with the progress of this Monday morning group – the students are consistent with their attendance which allows for predictable success.  Would you like to join?  You can attend at any time – I will change the subjects/dances approximately every 3 weeks allowing for lots of review to ensure that you really learn the patterns.
